cinquain [sing-keyn]:
a five lined poem of two, four, six, eight, and two syllables.

haiku [hahy-koo]:
a three lined poem of five, seven, five syllables.

black light.
inconsistent
you are all words, all sounds,
and I am listening to shallow
heartbeats.

quiet surrender
because what is the use, anymore?
words like whispers.

hope. love.
void syntax in
another tongue, but
the lone cure for indifference
in ours.

I hear lonliness
killed you. I have a feeling
most of us helped.

hello moon,
you are brighter
than I could hope to be.
luminous, brilliant, even in
midnight.

fading aquamarine,
the sea is angry and grey
against the pale shore.
